Making Changes

“Change is good”. This is especially true when on the web. Fresh new content is not only good for your viewers who need to see up to date relevant information but also for SEO purposes. Google can see when a website is updated and may mark the site higher in its rankings as it sees that website is current and still functioning.

Not all of the changes that we need to make will be applied while the site is live, a significant portion will come in the development phase. This page is to help you provide the correct information in the correct format and give a guideline on the procedure of how he handle these changes.

Because you are able to see a pseudo-live version of your site you have more control and exposure to the development phase than ever before. Your involvement and co-operation can be applied to the design and the content at regular intervals which means that the messages and comments you send have to be understood correctly by the development team.

By following the advice below we will have a better understanding on how to help you and therefore we will be able to complete your website and make it live quicker.

Don't

  • Say "I don't like the design"
  • Say "Change the colours"
  • Say "Swap these photos"

Do

  • Pinpoint areas that you want modified/removed
  • Choose alternative colours that you want to have
  • Clearly identify which photos are to be changed and with what

The clearer and more concise you are the easier it is for us to make your website better

Even though we endevour to make all of the changes you require we are restricted by some limitations and may not be able to complete all requests that you make

Bigger Changes

Making small changes like text modification or image swaps on a live site are fine and will not affect the user experience too much, if at all. However bigger changes that affect the structure of the site(new tabs and pages) should be avoided if possible.

The basis of the structure should be decided and created in the development phase.

WeTransfer

When sending files via the web you need not use any other program than WeTransfer, a free online transferring service.

Follow these easy steps and make the difficulty of transferring files a thing of the past.

2. Upload your correctly labelled photos and/or files

3. Input your details, which includes the option of a message

4. Press "Transfer" and you are done!
